What Are Ginwenwear's Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ)?

Ginwenwear sets a minimum order quantity (MOQ) of 50 pieces per style for custom jacket orders. This MOQ applies across all six jacket categories: bomber jackets, puffer jackets, down jackets, varsity jackets, workwear jackets, and kids' jackets. Each style within an order is subject to the 50-piece minimum, meaning a client ordering two different jacket styles must order at least 50 pieces of each style. MOQ Flexibility Conditions

The 50-piece MOQ applies to standard custom orders with standard materials, trims, and production processes. Reduced MOQ of 30 pieces per style may be considered for repeat clients. Trial orders at 50 pieces are encouraged for new clients to evaluate quality before scaling up. ODM styles (using Ginwenwear's existing designs with minor modifications) generally have the same 50-piece MOQ. Why 50 Pieces MOQ

Ginwenwear sets the MOQ at 50 pieces based on production efficiency. Below 50 pieces, the setup time per style (pattern grading, marker making, cutting, thread and trim preparation) becomes disproportionate to production time, resulting in higher per-unit costs. The 50-piece threshold allows Ginwenwear to offer competitive FOB pricing while maintaining full custom specifications, labeling, and packaging.

Managing MOQ Across Multiple Styles

Clients who need multiple styles but cannot meet 50 pieces per style have several options: combine smaller quantities across styles in one production run if the styles share the same construction method and materials; order stock samples of 1-5 pieces per style for evaluation before committing to bulk MOQ; or ship smaller quantities via air freight to manage inventory risk while meeting MOQ through combined styles. It is also possible to order one style at 50 pieces and request smaller sample quantities of additional styles for market testing.

Combined Orders

Multiple styles within the same jacket category can sometimes be combined into one production run when they share materials, trim, and construction. For example, two bomber jacket styles in different colors using the same nylon fabric and zippers could potentially be produced together at 30+30 pieces rather than 50+50. This is evaluated on a case-by-case basis and should be discussed during the quotation stage.

Comparison With Industry MOQ Norms

Most typical Chinese jacket OEM factories require 200-500 pieces per style. Small workshops may accept 20-30 pieces but often lack formal QC systems and certifications. Ginwenwear's 50-piece MOQ is lower than the industry average for mid-tier factories while maintaining ISO 9001 quality management and AQL 2.5 inspection standards. For comparison, large-scale OEM suppliers in Guangdong commonly require 500-1,000 pieces per style.

Note: The 50-piece MOQ applies to bulk production orders only. Sample orders are separate: stock samples ($50-$80) and development samples ($80-$200) have no MOQ requirement and can be ordered as single pieces.
