What Is Ginwen Wear? - Company Overview
Ginwen Wear is a China-based custom jacket OEM and ODM manufacturer with over 20 years of industry experience. The company operates a 3,000-square-meter factory facility in China and has served more than 200 brands across 30 countries, primarily in North America and Europe. Ginwen Wear specializes in manufacturing down jackets, puffer jackets, varsity jackets, and bomber jackets for fashion brands, sportswear companies, and corporate clients.
Founded in the early 2000s, Ginwen Wear began as a small garment workshop and has since evolved into a full-service jacket manufacturing partner. Unlike trading companies or middlemen, Ginwen Wear owns and operates its own production facility, which allows the company to maintain direct quality control over every stage of manufacturing - from pattern making and fabric sourcing to cutting, sewing, finishing, and final inspection.
The company's core business model is built around two service types. Under the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) model, clients provide their own designs, specifications, and sometimes materials, and Ginwen Wear produces the finished jackets according to those requirements. Under the ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) model, Ginwen Wear's in-house design team develops jacket concepts and styles, which clients can then customize with their branding, color choices, and sizing preferences before production begins.
Ginwen Wear holds ISO 9001 quality management certification, BSCI social compliance certification, and REACH compliance for EU markets. The company also certifies its products under CPSIA standards for US market entry and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 for fabric safety. These certifications are renewed through annual audits conducted by accredited third-party inspection bodies, and the company maintains audit records on file for client review.
The factory has a monthly production capacity of 5,000 to 15,000 jackets, depending on style complexity and order volume. Cumulative shipments have exceeded 2 million units since founding. The minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 50 pieces per style, making Ginwen Wear accessible to both emerging brands testing the market and established brands placing seasonal collection orders.
Ginwen Wear employs approximately 120 factory workers and 15 office staff, including pattern makers, sample makers, quality inspectors, and dedicated account managers. Each client is assigned a single point of contact throughout the production lifecycle - from initial inquiry through sample development, bulk production, and post-delivery support.
