Ginwen Wear Certifications - ISO 9001, BSCI, REACH, CPSIA, OEKO-TEX
Ginwen Wear holds five key certifications: ISO 9001 (quality management), BSCI (social compliance), REACH (EU chemical compliance), CPSIA (US product safety), and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 (fabric safety). These certifications are maintained through annual audits conducted by accredited third-party certification bodies, and the company maintains current certificates and audit reports on file for client review.
ISO 9001 - Quality Management System
Ginwen Wear has held ISO 9001 certification for quality management since 2015. This certification requires the company to maintain documented quality procedures, conduct regular internal audits, track corrective actions, and demonstrate continuous improvement across all production processes. The scope of the certification covers design and development, production, quality inspection, packaging, and delivery of custom jackets. Audits are conducted annually by an accredited certification body, with full recertification every three years. The most recent recertification was completed in 2024.
BSCI - Social Compliance
BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) certification demonstrates that Ginwen Wear's factory meets social compliance standards including fair labor practices, workplace safety, reasonable working hours, and prohibition of child labor. The certification is based on on-site audits conducted by BSCI-accredited auditors who inspect factory conditions, review payroll and attendance records, and conduct confidential worker interviews. The current BSCI audit result is available for client review under confidentiality agreement.
REACH - EU Chemical Compliance
For clients exporting to the European Union, Ginwen Wear ensures that all materials used in production comply with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) regulations. This includes verifying that fabrics, dyes, trims, zippers, buttons, and packaging materials do not contain restricted substances above the allowable limits. The company maintains a REACH compliance declaration and can provide material test reports from accredited laboratories for specific products upon request.
CPSIA - US Product Safety
For US-bound shipments, Ginwen Wear complies with CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) requirements. Children's jacket products are tested for lead content, phthalates, and flammability as required by CPSIA. Adult jacket products are tested for general product safety compliance. The company works with CPSC-accredited testing laboratories to obtain test reports for each production batch as needed.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
Ginwen Wear holds OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification for its fabric materials. This certification tests for harmful substances in textiles, including regulated and non-regulated chemicals, and ensures that fabric materials are safe for skin contact. The certification covers all fabric types used in the company's production, including shell fabrics, linings, insulation materials, and interlinings.
Clients who require additional certifications for specific products or markets should discuss their requirements during the initial consultation. Ginwen Wear can work with client-specified testing laboratories and can support certification processes for additional standards as needed.
