Ginwen Wear MOQ - 50 Pieces Per Style for Standard Production

Ginwen Wear's standard minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 50 pieces per style. This MOQ applies to bulk production orders across all four core jacket categories: down jackets, puffer jackets, varsity jackets, and bomber jackets. The 50-piece MOQ is per style, per color, meaning that if a client orders two styles or two colors, each combination counts toward its own MOQ.

MOQ by Order Type

Sample orders do not have an MOQ requirement. Clients can order 1 to 5 sample pieces to evaluate quality, fit, and design before committing to bulk production. Sample costs are typically 3 to 5 times the bulk unit price and are deducted from the total order value if the client proceeds with a bulk production order within 90 days.

For bulk production, the 50-piece MOQ per style applies to initial orders. Repeat orders for the same style may qualify for reduced MOQ down to 30 pieces per style, subject to production schedule availability. Clients who need smaller quantities for test launches or limited collections should discuss their requirements during the consultation phase, as the company may accommodate lower MOQs on a case-by-case basis depending on fabric availability and production scheduling.

Why 50 Pieces?

The 50-piece MOQ is based on the minimum production batch size that allows Ginwen Wear to operate efficiently. Fabric cutting, pattern grading, sewing line setup, and quality inspection all require a certain minimum volume to justify the setup time and material utilization. Below 50 pieces, the per-unit cost increases significantly because the setup costs are distributed across fewer units, and fabric utilization becomes less efficient due to minimum cutting widths required by industrial cutting machines.

MOQ Considerations

Clients should note that the MOQ may be higher for certain styles or materials. Custom-developed fabrics, custom-dyed colors, and specialized hardware may have their own minimums from the supplier, which could raise the effective MOQ for that production run. For example, if a fabric mill requires a minimum of 200 meters for a custom color run, and each jacket requires 1.5 meters of fabric, the fabric minimum would set an effective MOQ of approximately 134 jackets, even though the standard MOQ is 50 pieces.
