Sample Development Timeline - 7 to 15 Business Days Standard
Ginwen Wear's standard sample development takes 7 to 15 business days from design approval to sample completion. The exact timeline depends on the complexity of the design, fabric availability, and whether the sample requires any specialized techniques or custom-developed materials.
Sample Development Process
The sample development process follows a structured sequence. First, the client provides design specifications including technical drawings, measurement charts, material requirements, and reference images. The Ginwen Wear sample team reviews the specifications and provides a sample timeline within 1 to 2 business days. Pattern making and grading take approximately 2 to 3 business days, during which the pattern maker creates the master pattern based on the client's size specifications. Fabric and material cutting takes 1 to 2 business days, followed by sewing and assembly which takes 3 to 5 business days for a typical jacket sample. Finally, finishing, pressing, and quality inspection take 1 to 2 business days before the sample is ready for shipment.
The timeline for standard styles - jackets that Ginwen Wear has produced previously or that use existing patterns - is typically on the shorter end of the range (7 to 10 business days). New styles that require new pattern development, custom grading, or unfamiliar construction techniques typically require the full 12 to 15 business days.
Expedited Samples
For clients with urgent timelines, Ginwen Wear offers expedited sample development. With an expedited fee, the sample team can prioritize the order and complete development in 5 to 7 business days. This is contingent on design complexity and current sample team workload. Rush sample requests should be communicated during the initial inquiry so the production schedule can be adjusted accordingly.
Sample Shipping
After sample completion, shipping time is additional and depends on the chosen carrier. Express shipping via DHL, FedEx, or UPS takes 3 to 5 business days to most US and EU destinations. Economy shipping takes 7 to 14 business days. Sample shipping costs are typically the client's responsibility, though Ginwen Wear can absorb shipping costs for larger potential orders or long-term partnership prospects, subject to management approval.
To initiate a sample request, submit your design specifications through the inquiry form, and the sample team will respond with a timeline and cost estimate within 2 business days.
