Fabric and Hardware Customization - Full Options Available
Yes, Ginwen Wear offers full customization of fabrics and hardware for all jacket types. Clients can choose from the company's existing material library or develop custom fabrics, colors, and hardware specifically for their brand.
Fabric Options
Ginwen Wear maintains relationships with multiple fabric mills and can access a wide range of materials suitable for jacket production. Standard fabric options include nylon (20D to 420D), polyester (twill, plain weave, ripstop), cotton (canvas, twill, poplin), wool blends, and performance fabrics (waterproof, breathable, windproof). Clients can select from the company's existing fabric library, which includes approximately 200 standard fabrics in various weights, finishes, and colors.
For clients who require specific fabrics not in the standard library, custom fabric development is available. The process involves selecting a base fabric type, specifying the desired weight, finish, and color, and ordering a minimum fabric run from the mill. Custom fabric minimums vary by fabric type but typically range from 200 to 500 meters per color. Custom-developed fabrics require a longer lead time - typically 15 to 25 business days for fabric production plus standard production time.
Custom colors can be matched to Pantone reference numbers, client-provided physical swatches, or digital color references. Ginwen Wear uses spectrophotometers for color matching and can achieve a Delta E of 1.0 or below, which is the industry standard for acceptable color accuracy.
Hardware Options
Hardware customization covers zippers, buttons, snaps, rivets, eyelets, drawstrings, cord locks, and hang tags. Standard zipper options include YKK, SBS, and other reputable brands in various sizes and finishes (nickel, antique brass, gunmetal, matte black, custom colors). Custom zipper pulls can be produced with client logos or brand identifiers. Buttons are available in plastic, metal, wood, and horn materials in standard and custom sizes. Embroidery thread colors can be matched to any Pantone reference, and the factory's multi-head embroidery machines can produce custom logos, brand names, and decorative designs.
Material Minimums
Customization level affects minimum order quantities. Choosing from standard materials allows the 50-piece MOQ. Custom fabric colors typically require approximately 200 meters minimum, which translates to roughly 130 to 150 jackets depending on the style. Fully custom-developed fabrics require the highest minimums. Custom hardware like branded zipper pulls or custom buttons may have separate minimums from the hardware manufacturer, typically 500 to 1,000 pieces per item.
