Can I Get Samples Before a Bulk Order?
Yes, Ginwen Wear strongly recommends requesting samples before placing a bulk order. Sample development is a standard part of our manufacturing process, and the cost is typically deducted from the bulk production invoice once the order is confirmed. We want every client to evaluate the fabric, fit, construction, and finish quality before committing to mass production.
How the Sample Process Works
After discussing your design requirements with our team, we create a sample jacket based on your specifications. The sample development process includes the following steps:
- Pattern making: Our pattern maker creates a production pattern based on your size specifications and design details.
- Material sourcing: The specified fabric, lining, zippers, buttons, thread, and trims are sourced to match your requirements.
- Sample sewing: A skilled sample maker produces one complete jacket following the pattern and material specs.
- Sample inspection: The QC team checks the sample for measurement accuracy, construction quality, and overall appearance before shipping.
- Shipping: The sample is sent via DHL, FedEx, or UPS, typically arriving in 3 to 5 business days depending on destination.
Sample Costs and Timeframes
Sample costs vary by jacket style and complexity. Below are typical ranges:

Sample Deduction Policy
For new clients, the sample cost is deductible from the bulk order invoice under the following conditions: the bulk order is placed within 60 days of sample approval, and the order quantity meets the minimum MOQ of 50 pieces per style. The deduction covers the sample cost up to the amount paid. If design changes are required after sample approval that result in a second sample, the second sample cost is shared 50/50 between Ginwen and the client.
Existing clients with established?????? (cooperative relationships) may qualify for free sample development on new styles, subject to volume commitments. Contact your account manager to check eligibility.
