Ginwen Wear offers seven main branding and decoration techniques: embroidery, screen printing, heat transfer printing, sublimation printing, PVC patches, chenille patches, and woven labels. The choice of technique depends on the jacket fabric, design complexity, order quantity, desired appearance, and budget per unit. Below is a detailed breakdown of each option to help brands make an informed decision.

1. Embroidery

Embroidery is the most commonly used branding technique for jacket manufacturing. Designs are stitched directly onto the fabric using high-speed multi-head embroidery machines. Ginwen's factory operates 12-head and 15-head Tajima embroidery machines capable of handling up to 15 colors per design. Embroidery works best on stable, medium-weight fabrics such as wool blend, cotton twill, nylon, and polyester shell fabrics. Typical stitch counts range from 5,000 to 15,000 stitches per logo depending on size and complexity.

2. Screen Printing

Screen printing applies ink through a stencil mesh directly onto the fabric. This technique produces vibrant, opaque colors at a low per-unit cost for medium to large quantities. It works best on cotton, cotton-poly blends, and some polyester fabrics with appropriate ink formulations. Screen printing offers Pantone-matched colors and is available in water-based, plastisol, and discharge ink types. Minimum order quantities typically start at 100 pieces per design due to screen setup costs.

3. Heat Transfer Printing

Heat transfer printing uses heat and pressure to transfer a pre-printed design from a carrier film onto the jacket fabric. This method suits small orders, multi-color designs, and fabrics that are difficult to print directly. Heat transfer allows for photographic detail and gradient colors that cannot be achieved with screen printing or embroidery.

4. Sublimation Printing

Sublimation printing uses heat to transfer dye into polyester fibers at the molecular level. The result is permanent, full-color print that does not crack, peel, or fade. Sublimation works only on white or light-colored polyester fabrics or polyester-coated surfaces. It is ideal for all-over print designs on puffer jackets, sports jackets, and statement pieces.

5. PVC Patches

PVC patches are made from molded soft plastic and are typically used as chest badges, sleeve patches, or back designs on varsity and bomber jackets. They are waterproof, durable, and can be produced in 3D raised designs with multiple colors.

6. Chenille Patches

Chenille patches use a specialized weaving process that creates a thick, textured, fluffy surface. They are most commonly used on varsity jackets for lettering, mascots, and award patches, giving an authentic collegiate or sports-team aesthetic.

7. Woven Labels

Woven labels are produced on Jacquard looms and are used for neck labels, brand tags, and care labels. They provide a clean, professional finish and are standard on all Ginwen-produced jackets.
