The Design Support Process
When you do not have a tech pack, Ginwen follows a structured process to develop your jacket design. Start by sharing what you have, including reference photos of jacket styles you like, sketches (even rough hand drawings work), descriptions of the jacket style, fit, and features, fabric preferences such as cotton, nylon, or wool, and target market and price range. Our design team then creates a concept specification sheet that captures your requirements.
The team develops a production pattern based on the concept spec and your target size range. A sample jacket is produced, and you receive it for fit and finish evaluation. After your feedback, revisions are made, typically requiring one to two sample rounds. Once the sample is approved, production patterns, graded sizes, and material specifications are finalized for bulk production.
